Gift Guide: Stay active with LeapBand #Review #Giveaway #GiftGuide

We own several LeapFrog products that we LOVE! I love that they are good learning tools. Many of them are extremely educational. My daughter was excited when we got LeapBand and couldn't wait until I finish setting it up through their website. I do not have to set up first since it can be used directly out of the package. But I chose to do the set up first so that I can try and learn to customize the "challenges" or set quiet time to the device. In addition to that, by creating a LeapFrog parent account, we can also personalize the "activity tracker" experience on LeapBand and see how much "Joules" have been earned by your child.

Let's take a look now.









My daughter, after waiting patiently, gets to turn it on. To start, she gets to pick a pet and customize her pet to the styles and colors that she want. Then she got the named it.



LeapBand is an activity tracker. My daughter is usually very active. But LeapBand helps encourage her to play or perform specific activities that are suggested by LeapBand. Kids can earn Joules for finidhing the chanllenges and games with pets. Joules can be used to unlock additional games, challenges, pets and levels of play.

The activities on each challenge is easy and suite for children. It is fun to see my daughter try to do the activities like “Pop like Popcorn” or "Jump like a frog". It is a good exercise and each challenge is not long so she doesn't feel they are too difficult to complete the challenge.

LeapBand can be set to school and night time. During that time, audio, animation or gameplay is unavailable to them. Kids still can earns Joules since the device still tracks their motions but the device will show only clock displays until the school or night time has expired.

There are 36 activity challenges to be unlocked in addition to the 14 default challenges. Kids can unlock up to 7 additional pets. My daughter unlocked the second pet in no time!

At first, she kept touching the screen since she thought it is a touch screen device. LeapBand doesn't have a touch screen function which my daughter doesn't seems to have a problem with it.

I love that doesn't require batteries since it comes with rechargeable battery. It is kid-tough and water resistant.

I definitely think this would be a great gift for your child. It is a very fun way to get children learning and moving at the same time! LeapBand comes in 3 colors: Green, blue and pink. Retails price is at $49.99.

    I love that the LeapBand can be set to School time or Night time, so that at the end of the day the games are unavailable but the watch can still be worn. This is a great little Christmas gift that my son would adore.

    I like the fact that it will help to keep the child active and they're bound to love this. I also like that the games can be switched off at night, no chance of them playing under the covers then :-)

    I like that it makes the children be active, I often think children these are far too sedentary these days. Many moons ago when I was a child we'd be outdoors playing all day long, we'd only go home for meals really.
