Magformers POWER GEAR 60PC SET is super cool! #review #GiftGuide

I love Magformers since I had a chance to review the MAGNETS IN MOTION 83PC POWER GEAR SET last year. To me, Magformers is a very creative toy. It helps developing some thinking and technological skills.

We are lucky to be able to try the POWER GEAR 60PC SET this time. This set has special power blocks that make it extra special. The power generator will provide the electronic power when it's connected to LED blocks, Power Motor Gear. There is a Remote control that will turn the power generator on after we finish building. The remote control needs a mercury battery CR2032 3V which comes with the set.

What I found with this set, to box is quite bigger than the MAGNETS IN MOTION 83PC POWER GEAR SET that I reviewed last year but it is easier to put each part away back into the box to keep them tidy. The Magformers Model Booklet is not as details as the 83 pc set but it is not too hard to follow. I still can build according to the guide but have to think a little bit more. This booklet is only for this gear set though, compare to the other one, the other set has a booklet that show many models for a few sets that we won't be able to build everything in that book. This booklet show 6 models : Rotating basket, Ferris wheel, Merry go round 1, Merry go round 2, Pirate ship and Swing ride.

We are going to combine both sets that we have together and will create unlimited designs together. This will be a lot of fun!

I put together the Rotation Basket and tried on the power blocks. It is very cool. I love the LED blocks that lid up after I turned it on.

  1. One of our best toy purchases! Pricey , but totally worth the investment, my girl has had hers for 2 yrs, and she never gets bored with them. Even my teen loves them!

  3. This would be great for someone who likes to build things that will move on their own. I can see them spending hours creating action machines.

  11. What a neat set! All 3 of my kids got a magformers set for Christmas this year and they just love them. The Carnival set was a really hit with my 6 year old. My twins just love to build "strange things" with the pieces.
