Learn while having fun with Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set #Review #GiftGuide #learningresources #Giveaway

There are so many toys in my daughter's wish list this year. I found that many of them are regular type of toys that she already had. I would like to get something different for her, something that will help her learn and develop some problem solve skill.

I was offered to review "Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set" from #learningresources .This toy is the winner of ASTRA Best Toys for Kids 2016 - Learning Play Category and it is an award winner for STEM 10 The Toy Insider 2016.

Check out what's in the box with us.

To help you understand it better, this toys is a robot mouse named Colby. Kids have to program Colby to walk on mazes they created. The goal is to get him to his cheese wedge.

I went to a parent meeting at my daughter's school last month. I learned that the school is trying to get fund to provide students of all ages a robot program. When I saw the video of this toy, I thought this is a toy I wanted my daughter to have.

This deluxe set includes 30 double-sided coding cards, 10 double-sided activity cards, cheese wedge, and Activity Guide. Children learn to create the path with 16 maze grids, 22 maze walls, and 3 tunnels for endless possibilities. Colby lights-up, makes sounds, and features 2 speeds along with colorful buttons to match coding cards for easy programming and sequencing.

I found that the tiles are a bit difficult for my daughter to put together by herself. I have to help her put them together. To program Colby, I found that the coding cards help my daughter a lot to understand how to program him, the color buttons and coding cards help her to be able to organize. My 5 years old daughter paused a bit when I built a maze together. I encouraged her to think which way to go grid by grid and had her put down the coding cards in order. Than she can push the buttons to program Colby. I think without the coding cards, it probably very confusing for her.

I really recommended this toy. It is a lot of fun. My daughter learn a lot from this toy. She had a lot of fun and I am really proud of her. She can solve mazes from the activity guide. Some of them are harder than the other.

This one is an easy one that my daughter try.

If you want to play this game with multiple players, you can purchase Jack, the Programmable Robot Mouse (LER 2841) separately. This toy is recommended for children age 5+.
