#23BLAST DVD #Review & #Giveaway

I quite enjoyed this movie. Not being at all interested in football I thought I might not like it. I like movies that are based on a true story and inspirational, about overcoming adversity. This movie is all of those things. It actually got me interested in football! (a bit! :))

The main character, Travis struggles in his faith after losing his eyesight. It takes a gutsy mobility coach to push him out of his walls of self pity. Living with blindness and disability takes his faith to a whole new level. He has to overcome others prejudice against him and his own limitations. It takes a lot of courage to choose to step out in faith and not give up.

Travis' football coach is a man to look up to. He has very good principles and is a person of character. He challenges the young men and believes in the potential of each player. He is tough, but caring.

Travis' friend Jerry is troubled. He seems to have been hurt in life and nurtures that hurt. He makes poor choices yet he is a good friend to Travis. Travis is a also a good friend to Jerry and tries to help him as best he can. Some obstacles in life are not only physical ones but stem from a poor attitude and outlook.

I recommend this movie. It's engaging and worth watching, even if you're not a huge football fan!
