Impressive Christmas recipes with Kellogg's Rice Krispies

I am so proud to be a part of Kellogger's team. Last week, we got a Christmas package from Kellogg's. I have to admit that I never made any rice Krispies recipes before until I became part of Kellogger's network. I found it it so easy!

During this Christmas time, we all are busy with many things such as party, getting gifts, Christmas card, etc. I would like to share easy and yummy Rice Krispies recipes with you here to help you during this busy Christmas time.

Christmas Ornament

Ingredients

6 cupsRice Krispies* cereal
250 g Marshmallows
1/4 cup Butter or Margarine
2 ml Vanilla extract
Red licorice string
Red and white findant and silver dragees
Ruler, bamboo skewer, pizza cutter, rolling pin and paint brush
Wrapping: cello bags, ribbon, and mini decorative bulbs

Preparation

  1. Make the Rice Krispies* Base In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes
  2. Stir in vanilla. Stir in Kellogg's* Rice Krispies * cereal until well coated. Allow mixture to cool slightly; form into shape
  3. Form Kellogg's* Rice Krispies* cereal mixture into half balls, leaving space in the centre
  4. Poke a small hole in a piece of fondant with bamboo skewer and thread with your red licorice to make the loop for hanging
  5. Place the loop inside the ball and add more Kellogg's* Rice Krispies* mixture to close the ball around the licorice so the loop sticks out; add more mixture as needed and mold with hands into ball shape
  6. Roll fondant into a sheet using a rolling pin
  7. With a ruler and pizza cutter, cut fondant into long strips; place onto ornament working your way around, cutting any excess
  8. Use a very small cookie cutter decorating tool to cut out fun shapes from the fondant
  9. Dip the paint brush in some water and brush onto the fondant; sprinkle on silver dragees
  10. Once complete; package the Kellogg's* Rice Krispies* ornament in a cellophane bag, add the ribbon and the mini decorative bulbs for the perfect holiday gift.
I use the same recipe to create my snowman.

  1. I love that Christmas ornament, I'm afraid that's the only picture I could see but that one was amazing, what a great idea.
