Quartex: a mind-bending, shape-building tile game #review

I love playing games with family and friends. It is a lot of fun. I also love trying new games. I am very excited to try Quartex from CSE game. Quartex is a mind-bending, shape-building tile game. It is a perfect game for family, recommended for age 8+. It is a game for 2-5 players.

You may scan and learn how to play this game.

 Designed in Canada.

Instructions that come in English and French.

 The draw bag.

 5 shields

There are reminders on the back of each shields.

 Tiles and tokens.

To play Quartex, players take turns placing tiles by matching and aligning them beside other tiles already in play. Each player tries to complete a four-corner shape in order to earn a point token of that color.

The rules also state that for 2-3 players, you must remove 1 tile from the draw bag, for 4 players, you must remove 3 tiles and for 5 players, you remove no tile from the draw bag.

At the end of the game, we will count the score of tokens you collected. Here comes the twist. The score of each token depends on how many tokens of each color left. The person who has the highest score win.

The fun play of Quartex has the added benefits of skill development, including counting and math, logical and critical decision making, pattern/color matching, visual-spatial skills, and hand/resource management.
